The drive from Amman to Petra takes approximately 2.5 to 3 hours each way via the Desert Highway (Route 15), covering around 240 kilometres. An early morning departure (7:00–7:30 AM) is recommended to maximise time at the site.

For a Petra day trip booked with return travel, your driver waits in Wadi Musa, collects you at the Petra Visitor Centre at the agreed time, and drives you back to Amman. A one-way private transfer ends at your agreed drop-off in Petra or Wadi Musa; waiting and return travel are not included.

The transfer price covers private transportation only. Petra entrance tickets (currently 50 JOD for a 1-day pass), meals, guide fees, and any optional activities inside the site are not included.
